Educational learning is taken out of the homebase and into the community where other members of the community can contribute their skills and knowledge to the group for shared knowledge and growth.
NATURE SPOTTING
Outing to the local bush reserves and the estuary are great opportunities to grab the binoculars and go nature spotting. A fun and engaging way to learn about the variety of flora and fauna that surround us in our local community. Area's visited include Sandy Point Domain, Fosbender park, Bushy Point, Kilmock Bush Track and the Estuary and board walk.
TRIP TO SPCA
A trip to the local SPCA to visit the animals there and learn about how to care and look after them. We also learnt about different ways to prevent animals from becoming unwanted and ending up in rescue centres. A group picnic was enjoyed by all - even the horses!
ADVENTURE AT THE PARK
Visits to local parks and bush reserves can be a great way to learn about our environment and how we can play a part in caring and maintaining our local and wider spaces and community. These sessions include challenges such as treasure hunts, nature spotting and picnics with group games.
BEE KEEPING
A lovely day with Kaiko Murray who brings his sleepy bees along, so it's all about bees and honey at our home base. That means honey and Pikelet's for our picnic! A fun filled educational demonstration of bee keeping and the process of honey from bee to tummy!
