Wearable Art

In our Art Sessions we have designed and made a variety of wearable art from recycled, and reusable materials, clothes and fabric. As well garments there are also other designs being created such as shoulder bags and cushions. 

In our Creative Wearable Art Sessions we are making garments and displaying them in the upcoming 'Matariki in the park" show. We have cut our garments from curtains and reusable materials and sewn them together using sewing machines. Some great skills are being nurtured in this class!

Shoulder bags and cushions were designed and created using the sewing machines. Other skills practiced included using patterns, working with different fabrics, hand / eye coordination and precision measuring - measure twice, cut once!
